Applications of Polyester Mesh in Water Treatment

 

· Filtration Medium: Polyester mesh has a certain porosity and good filtration performance. It can be used as a primary filtration medium to intercept larger particulate impurities in water, such as sediment, leaves, and suspended solids, protecting subsequent treatment equipment from blockage and damage by large particles. For example, in some small - scale sewage treatment plants or rural drinking water treatment facilities, polyester mesh is often used for preliminary filtration.

· Filter Screen Material: It can be made into various forms of filter screens and applied in filtration equipment. For instance, in the swimming pool water circulation system, the polyester mesh filter screen can effectively filter out hair, dander, and other impurities in the water, keeping the pool water clean. In some industrial circulating cooling water systems, polyester mesh filter screens are also used to filter the water, ensuring the quality of the circulating water and reducing the impact of impurities on the equipment.

· Biofilm Carrier: The surface properties of polyester mesh are suitable for the attachment and growth of microorganisms. It can be used as a carrier material in the biological film - based water treatment process. · Precision Filtration: Stainless steel mesh has high strength, corrosion resistance, and relatively uniform pore sizes, making it suitable for high - precision filtration. In processes such as reverse osmosis pretreatment and ultrafiltration, the stainless steel mesh can filter out fine particles, colloids, and other impurities in the water, ensuring the quality of the influent and improving the operation efficiency and stability of subsequent treatment units.
